Hello Inclusion Team (and experts),
Great news! Kelly Flynn, an academic instructor coach with the Princeton School District, will be joining our Inclusion Team meeting on March 31st. Kelly has worked 29 years in a classroom with experience in kindergarten, first grade and special education. As an Academic Coach, she now supports teachers with lesson planning, best practices for teaching the curriculum and analyzing classroom data to provide strategies to benefit both teachers and students.
Kelly is planning on discussing best practices for adapting curriculum for a student with Down Syndrome in grades K-2.
Questions that Kelly has asked me:
1) Are there certain areas of the curriculum that we want Kelly to focus on?
2) Are there any specific samples we can scan and send to Kelly (in advance)?
3) Can we tell Kelly the reading series/math books that the kindergarten/ first grade uses?
4) Are than any ISP skills Mike is needing help with?
I may be able to answer these questions if I strain my brain long enough. However if anyone has any specific requests/ questions, please let me know. We can compile these and send them to her in advance so she is prepared to discuss answers.
Thank you,
Kim
