I appreciate the enthusiasm and participation by everyone. We have a lot to learn, and I am confident that we can learn more effectively together. If we can (and I'm confident we will) make some small "wins," we'll get that smile back that we've missed on Mike's face and get on a solid path forward. I would like to do a better job of explaining to Mike's classmates what Down's Syndrome is and how they can help. They have been great and will help more if we help them understand how they can. Anyone have any ideas on the best way to do this?

Our next lessons in Religion (in addition to our Lenten Project) are "God's Makes Us Alike But Different" and "God's Children Can Have Fun." This fits in perfectly! Does anyone have any great children's books about a special needs child that could be read as part of this lesson?
