Greetings
Hello Inclusion Team,
I'd like to take some time and introduce myself. My name is Rhonda Shepherd and I am Mike's educational assistant. I'm looking forward to meeting everybody and to begin working with Mike. A little about me: I graduated from Miami U. in Oxford in 2007. I have a degree in special education as an intervention specialist in dual areas, mild/moderate and moderate/ intensive. I started my special education career working as an educational assistant for Warren County MR/DD. I loved it, so I went back to school at 42 to earn my degree. As soon as I graduated I worked for Lebanon City High School as a long term sub. I had 3 special ed classes and 3 inclusion classes. Last year I worked at New Miami Elementary as a 5th grade intervention specialist and also as a building sub. During my summers I work at Camp Joy in Clarksville as they made their day camp inclusive in 2008. I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. My 2 year old granddaughter lives with me so, I get about 6 hours of sleep a night, am very close and personal with Dora, Wubby, and Kai-Lan (cartoon characters), and I take very good vitamins. I am excited about giving Mike every opportunity for success and to help him face the many challenges of kindergarten with humor, success, and fun! See you soon.
